Josh Dean MP  National and Local Housing Issues
Friday 28 March 7pm 

Josh Dean MP delivered a talk to members at the United Reformed Church on Friday 28th March on the emotive topic of housing.  A complex topic on which he gave an overview of changing national policy on planning and infrastructure, the introduction of grey belt land classification and the underlying reasons for such changes.  There followed a lively question and answer session on a wide range of matters including funding of social housing, the district council's recent call for sites, flooding, types of homes built, solar panels and the establishment of new towns versus urban extensions.
 
Members warmly thanked Josh for his talk and it is anticipated that he will return at some point to speak on another topic of interest to Civic Society members
